The Evolution of lvonlinestore-Shop
How the lvonlinestore started and Became a Local Business Leader.
In 2002, at the great city of Dar-es-Salaam, Joseph and Didas set-out fueled by a singular dream—starting an online store that could serve the entirety of Tanzania. With a small rented office and one computer, setting off on their single satisfying promise, they founded lvonlinestore, an e-commerce venture that was aimed towards the shopping market and only catered to a select few users at first.
Both of them were self sufficient in all aspects such as product acquisition, package fulfilling, and order delivery all over Dar-es-Salaam. With the internet not being widespread, they launched their service confident that it could succeed. A reliable service, affordable prices, and a focus on customer satisfaction fueled positive word of mouth from customers leading to an ever-increasing number of orders.
By 2010, lvonlinestore grew past its small office. Customers from outside of Dar-es-Salaam increased leading to Didas and Joseph recruiting more employees, adding new products, and improving their logistics. The business expanded to reach customers in Arusha, Iringa, Kagera, Mbeya, Njombe, Pwani, Rukwa, Shinyanga, Tanga, and even to Zanzibar-West.
Now in 2024
lvonlinestore employs 30 committed individuals from customer service to warehouse management and delivery staff. The company’s main office is still in Dar-es-Salaam where they have expanded a headquarter office.
